Insight: Take a close look
Lithium batteries Systematics
At first glance, shipping lithium batteries appears to be an everyday process – but the reality is different. Behind this seemingly simple process lies a multitude of complex regulations that often pose a major challenge, especially for occasional shippers. As the table above shows, it is not always easy to keep track of everything.
Mistakes can not only be costly but can also have serious consequences for the safety and the shipping process. The aim of this issue is to help you through the ‘jungle of regulations’ and provide you with clear guidance.
For the sake of completeness, we would like to point out that all articles dealing with changes, interpretations or innovations – such as sodium-ion batteries – are published in our print editions. These are of course also available online at www.fokus-gefahrgut.de so that you can always stay up to date.
In addition, our webinars offer the opportunity to receive further training from experts and gain valuable insights into complex topics such as the safe handling of batteries.
